FLYING GOLD

My oil painting in a dreamlike Arctic washed in pastel light, where ice shimmers in hues of rose, lavender, and pale turquoise, a seal reaches out her flipper to rest upon the broad paw of a polar bear. Around them, the frozen world glows softly — fragile, luminous, almost weightless — as if it might dissolve into the sky at any breath.
Predator and prey are no longer divided by instinct, but united by loss. Beneath the fading ice, their silent gesture becomes a vow — a tenderness born at the edge of disappearance. In this quiet touch lives a new story: not of survival against one another, but of companionship at the end of a vanishing world.
